Benchmark Builders Volunteers Skills for Habitat for Humanity

Wilmington, DE - June 9, 2006 - Benchmark Builders employees volunteered again in this years Home Builders Blitz Build Week, a partnership between Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County and the Home Builders Association of Delaware. This year's project, called Faith Way, includes the construction of new town homes on East Lake Street in Middletown.

Since its inception in 1986, HFHNCC has built more than 89 homes for local families in need, providing them the opportunity for stability through affordable homeownership. Ten Benchmark Builders employees, along with other area home builders and contractors, are helping support this cause through the Blitz Build where skilled craftsmen volunteer their time and expertise to construct a number of homes in a record number of days. The current Phase Two of Faith Way has an impressive goal of building 4+ homes in 5 days, with the entire Faith Way development including a total of 12 town homes.

"Benchmark Builders has a great respect for the efforts of Habitat for Humanity, and our staff has consistently volunteered their skilled support in their Blitz Build efforts," according to Steven Bomberger, President, Benchmark Builders.

Locally owned and operated, Benchmark Builders has been building the full range of residential homes throughout northern Delaware: from town homes and detached single family homes to semi-custom and executive homes. The award winning company is also recognized as Delaware's leader in the development of communities for active adults 55 and older.
